Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bytecodecafe LLC ("Bytecodecafe," "we," "us," or "our"), a Georgia limited liability company, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Rinqo mobile application (the "App"). By using Rinqo, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

a. Device and Usage Information

Rinqo identifies your installation using a device-generated identifier ("deviceId") rather than requiring an account or email address to use the App. We use this identifier to enforce usage limits (free vs. Pro tiers), sync your subscription status, and maintain your call log and history within the App.

b. Content You Provide

When you use Rinqo to look up a company, generate a call script, draft a complaint email, or prepare a regulatory filing, the text you enter is sent to our backend and processed by Google's Gemini AI model to generate a response. This may include the company name, a description of your issue, and related details you choose to provide.

c. Voice Input

If you use voice input on supported fields, your speech is processed using on-device or platform speech-recognition services (via Apple/Google system APIs) to convert it to text. We do not separately store audio recordings.

d. Vault Data (Secured PII)

The Vault feature lets you optionally save sensitive personal information — such as driver's license or other government-issued identification, credit card, debit card, and bank account information, and photos of such documents or cards — protected by your device's biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID/fingerprint). Vault contents are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. If you delete the App or your device, Vault contents are not recoverable by us.

e. Call Notes

Rinqo also includes a separate notes feature that lets you jot down notes while on a call (for example, a representative's name or a reference number). Call notes are not part of the Vault and are not protected by biometric authentication. Like all other text input fields in the App (see Section 1.b), call notes may be transmitted to our backend and processed by Google's Gemini AI model. You should not use the call notes feature — or any other input field outside the Vault — to record sensitive PII such as government ID numbers, card numbers, or bank account information; that information belongs in the Vault, as described above.

f. Purchase and Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Rinqo Pro, your payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive a subscription status/receipt token from Apple or Google, which we validate server-side to unlock Pro features tied to your deviceId.

g. Device Attestation

Rinqo uses Apple App Attest (iOS) and Google Play Integrity (Android) to verify that requests to our backend come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App. This exchange involves cryptographic tokens generated by your device's operating system and does not include personal content.

2. How We Use Information

3. Third-Party Services

Rinqo relies on the following third-party services to operate:

ServicePurpose
Google Gemini APIProcesses prompts to generate call scripts, lookups, and drafted correspondence
Firebase / Google Cloud PlatformBackend hosting, Cloud Functions, Firestore database, App Check
Apple App Store / Google PlaySubscription billing and receipt validation
Apple App Attest / Google Play IntegrityDevice attestation to prevent abuse

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and may process data outside your country of residence.

4. What We Don't Do

5. Data Retention

We retain deviceId-linked usage records (such as request counts and subscription status) for as long as your installation remains active, and as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of server-side records associated with your device as described in Section 7.

6. Children's Privacy

Rinqo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information we hold about your device, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below with your device information; we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted network transport, Firebase App Check, and biometric protection for Vault — to help protect information associated with your use of the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
